Are you a fan of high-performance sports cars? If so, the 2025 Porsche Taycan has likely been on your radar. First introduced for the 2020 model year, the Porsche Taycan was Porsche’s first foray into the world of electric vehicles. And for 2025, it is getting some serious updates.
The new Porsche Taycan gets some minor styling updates for 2025. The lighting and fenders see changes to give this EV a more aggressive look. The most significant updates occur to its underpinnings, making for improved range and better performance.
New Jersey Porsche enthusiasts will likely be impressed that when properly equipped, the 2025 Porsche Taycan can now generate up to 938 horsepower.
Since its introduction, the Porsche Taycan has been known for its performance. The base 2025 model has a 0 to 60 mph time of just 4.5 seconds. If you opt for the Porsche Taycan Turbo S, Porsche has reported a 0 to 60 mph time of 2.3 seconds. Clearly, this is not your average EV.
With the push-to-pass function provided by the Sport Chrono package, the 2025 Porsche Taycan can benefit from even more power. It adds a boost of up to 70 kW for a brief moment, helping to generate up to 938 horsepower on the top models.
Along with performance, Porsche has made improvements to the charging and range of the 2025 Porsche Taycan. It can now be charged at 800-volt DC charging stations at up to 320 kW, depending on conditions. The fast-charging window for the batteries has been increased, allowing you to charge your sports car faster.
In terms of charging, with the right conditions, the Porsche Taycan can go from a 10 percent charge to an 80 percent charge in under 20 minutes.
For a vehicle with such high performance, it makes sense that Porsche would aim to design a sleek interior. The 2025 Porsche Taycan does seat four, but there is an option for a third seat in the back row. Better yet, there are plenty of screens to help keep you connected while you are on the roads of New Jersey and beyond.
The gauge cluster is made up of a 16.8-inch digital screen, and the top touchscreen for infotainment is 10.9 inches. Below it is a smaller touchscreen to control things like climate control and open charge ports. As you would expect, the Porsche Taycan does come with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
